How Membership Works: Free, Member, and Pro

Posting and bidding are always free

Sell For Free doesn't charge listing fees or final-value fees, and it never takes a cut of a sale. Posting a listing and placing a bid cost nothing on every plan. Membership isn't a toll on selling — it raises the limits for people who list a lot.

The three plans

Member — $10/month or $100/year

• Up to 300 new listings per month
• Up to 8 photos per listing
• A Member badge next to your name on your listings

Pro — $25/month or $250/year

• Up to 3,000 new listings per month
• Up to 12 photos per listing
• A Pro badge next to your name on your listings
• Auction auto-extend: a bid in the last 2 minutes adds time, so your auctions can't be sniped
• A customizable store page: banner, accent color, an about section, and featured listings
• Priority support

What the Free limit counts

The monthly listing limit (30 on Free, 300 on Member, 3,000 on Pro) counts listings you create in a calendar month, and resets on the 1st. Cancelling a listing doesn't hand the slot back, so it's worth double-checking a listing before you post it. Bidding and buying never count toward the limit.

Is membership worth it?

If you list fewer than 30 items a month and 4 photos is enough to show them properly, Free covers you completely — there's nothing to upgrade for.

Member makes sense once either limit gets in your way. For collectibles, the photo limit often matters first: a card or comic can easily need front, back, corners, edges, and a close-up of any grading label before a buyer feels confident bidding. If you're regularly listing more than 30 items a month, Member raises that cap to 300.

Pro raises the cap to 3,000 listings a month and allows 12 photos, plus a Pro badge, auction auto-extend, and priority support. It's for sellers moving enough volume that a fast answer when something goes wrong is worth the difference.

Cancel anytime

You can cancel from your profile whenever you like. You keep your plan's benefits through the end of the period you've already paid for, then drop back to Free.
