Turn Buyers Into Repeat Customers

By Shiloh · October 20, 2026

Why repeat buyers are worth the effort

Sell For Free charges no listing or final-value fees, so you keep the same amount from a buyer's second order as from their first. The difference is that a returning buyer already trusts you, so there is no new customer to find. A few small tools make coming back easy.

Your store page

Every seller gets a public store page at sellforfree.app/store/ followed by your store handle. It lists everything you have live and can be filtered by category and sorted by ending soon, newest, or price. Share the link everywhere you talk to collectors: your social profiles, your streams, your packages.

You can copy your link from your profile, and you can change your store handle once, so pick one you're happy to put on a card. Pro sellers can add a banner, an accent color, an about section, and featured listings at the top.

Followers

Buyers can follow your store. When you post something new, your followers get one combined email at most once a day, covering everyone they follow. You can see how many people follow you, but never who. The more you list, the more reasons they have to come back.

Terms that bring buyers back

In your store settings you can list two terms that show on your store and on every listing:

  • A combined-shipping policy, so buyers know that buying several items from you is worth it.
  • An optional repeat-buyer discount, from 1% to 50%.

Sell For Free doesn't process payments, so a discount is something you and the buyer agree on in the order messages. It isn't applied automatically. When a returning buyer orders, the order page tells both of you so it's easy to remember.

The thank-you card

From any paid, shipped, or completed order you can print a thank-you card with your message and a QR code that opens your store. Put one in every package. Your message is saved in your store settings, so you only write it once.

Feedback

After an order completes, both sides can leave feedback for 30 days. A string of positive ratings is the most convincing thing a new buyer can see on your store, so a friendly note when you ship, and again when the order completes, is worth it. Feedback is final once it's submitted, which keeps it trustworthy for everyone.

Find out what collectors want

The What buyers want page, linked from your profile, shows the items several different buyers are looking for, with counts only and never who is asking. When you list one of those items, buyers who asked for it get an email.

Keep it on Sell For Free

When the sale, the messages, and the record all stay in Sell For Free, you and the buyer both have a record if anything goes wrong, and your store keeps its history of orders and feedback. Point buyers back to your store here rather than taking the next sale somewhere else.
